Eunice Representative Phillip DeVillier has gained enough support from fellow legislators to be elected as the next speaker of the house for the Louisiana House of Representatives. DeVillier will begin serving his third term on January 8th and that’s when official vote is expected to be taken. Metairie Republican Cameron Henry is expected to be the next Senate President.
