State Police has released more information on a fatal officer involved shooting that took place on April ninth outside of the La Bamba nightclub in Lafayette. Trooper Thomas Gossen says an officer working security detailed shot at 28-year-old Deiondre Solomon after he fired his gun at someone in the parking lot. A handgun was recovered at the scene.

Authorities have identified skeletal remains found near Slidell in January 1989 as Paula Boudreaux, a 22-year-old woman woman who disappeared from Golden Meadow in August of 1986. Lafourche Sheriff Craig Webre says the 33-year-old case at least gives Boudreaux’s family some closure…

Webre says the investigation remains active into who is responsible for Boudreaux’s death.
