A strong line of storms is moving through the northern part of our state and the national weather service has issued a tornado watch for Northeast Louisiana, including Monroe that will remain in effect until eleven this morning. The next big weather change isn’t expected until Monday with temperatures expected to dip below freezing throughout the state along with wintry precipitation.

Governor Jeff Landry believes shifting to a closed-party primary election system is at the core of making fundamental changes to advance Louisiana. the Bayou State. The state has closed party primaries for the president and did for Congress in 2008 and 2010. Landry, who was elected to Congress in 2010 says now it’s a problem because our representation in DC could be decided as late as December.
