The City of New Orleans is ready to welcome visitors from all around the world for the Super Bowl this week. Kelly Schulz (“Shultz”) with New Orleans and Company says they’re looking forward to showing off everything New Orleans has to offer and it’s time for the city to put its best foot forward.

There will be no drones allowed near The Caesars during Super Bowl Week as the area’s been designated a “No Drone Zone” and drone restrictions also extending to the downtown area in the days leading up to the event. FAA Drone Expert Kevin Morris says this ensures the airspace stays safe and applies within 1.5 nautical miles of Lafayette Square up to 2,000 feet.

All Morehouse Parish schools and offices will be closed today due to a parish wide bomb threat. Beekman Charter School said in a Facebook post that schools across Morehouse parish have received bomb threats. Law enforcement officials are investigating.
