Congressman Garret Graves believes background checks and gun bans will not make public mass shootings go away. Graves made the statement following two mass shootings over the weekend in Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso, Texas. Graves says many of the gunmen involved in mass shooting have been flagged with data from family and police, and much of that is not making it into background check information.
