Two more Saints players have been added to the N-F-C Pro Bowl team, tight end Jared Cook and guard Andrus Peat. That gives the Saints nine players on the Pro Bowl squad, a franchise record.

The N-F-L Divisional round of the playoffs kicks-off this afternoon with the 49ers hosting the Vikings. San Francisco has activated Former LSU linebacker Kwon Alexander off of injured reserve. Alexander hasn’t played since tearing his pectoral muscle on October 31st.

The Pelicans continued their recent run of good play last night with a 123 to 111 victory over the lowly New York Knicks. Brandon Ingram had 28 points, rookie Jaxson Hayes had a double-double 18 points and 10 rebounds. Lonzo Ball also had a double-double, 15 points, and 11 assists. New Orleans has won seven of its last nine and are in Boston tonight.

Tonight at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center, LSU hosts Mississippi State. The Tigers are 2-and-0 in league play, while the Bulldogs are 0-and-2. LSU freshman Trendon Watford is playing well as of late and he’s averaging 13 points and six rebounds a game. State is led by six-foot-10 sophomore Reggie Perry, who is averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds. Tip time is at 7.

Also tonight, Louisiana Tech is at UTEP. Grambling visits southern University. ULM is at Georgia State, while the Ragin Cajuns are at Georgia Southern. Northwestern State is at McNeese and Nicholls visits S-L-U.
