The LSU Tigers took advantage of good hitting conditions at Alex Box Stadium last night with the wind blowing out as the Bayou Bengals banged out four home runs in a 9-3 win over Tennessee. Jake Slaughter hit two home runs, Hunter Feduccia and Beau Jordan also hit balls that left the yard. Austin Bain had four hits and drove in three runs. Zach Hess allowed one run over seven innings for the victory.

The Ragin Cajuns fell behind 3-0 in the first inning but came back for a four to three win over Appalachian State. Daniel Lahare drove in two runs as UL Lafayette has won three straight.

ULM and Little Rock were postponed until today, so were Louisiana Tech and Charlotte and Northwestern State versus Southeastern Louisiana.

Nicholls and Incarnate Word were suspended in the 12th inning with the game tied at six, while McNeese edged UNO three to two. In the 8th inning, Carson Maxwell doubled home a run and then scored the go-ahead run by stealing home.

New Saints wide receiver Cameron Meredith spoke with reporters in New Orleans for the first time since signing a two year deal with the Black and Gold. Meredith says he believes he’ll fit in well with the Saints offense…
