Top ranked LSU played a sloppy game and lost to 12th ranked Kentucky 13 to 10 last night. The Bayou Bengals committed a season-high three errors, walked five hitters and LSU pitchers also hit three batters. Six of Kentucky’s 13 runs were unearned. And LSU hit into four double plays, including one to end the game…

Also last night, the Ragin Cajuns lost at home as they fell to Troy nine to six, but ULM won its fourth straight as the Warhawks defeated South Alabama seven to six. Cardell Thibodaux had a three-run homer and Louisiana Tech topped FIU seven to five in a game that only took one hour and 54 minutes.

ULM completed spring football practice a couple of weeks ago. The Warhawks defense dominated the spring with takeaways and negative plays. ULM Coach Terry Bowden says next fall he wants to see more explosive plays from his offense…
