COVID hospitalizations have fallen below 300 statewide to 294. That’s the lowest patient count since December 22nd. The Louisiana Health Department reported yesterday 535 new cases and 31 more COVID deaths.

So far the state has received 600-million dollars, but none of that money has been allocated yet. The state needs federal government approval on an action plan on how the money will be distributed.
