The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s office says a 66-year-old man left his 68-year-old wife on the couch for months, which resulted in her becoming unresponsive, severely malnourished and is also suffering from life-threatening wounds. Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Cindy Chadwick says Johnny Essary never informed anyone else of his wife’s condition…

The political fued between Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards and Republican Attorney General Jeff Landry continues to simmer as Landry has accused the governor of halting executions of death row inmates. Edwards says the drugs needed for an execution to be carried out in Louisiana are not available. Landry tweeted he supports the death penalty by lethal injection, gas, hanging and firing squad.
