A massive winter storm has hit the state today, bringing snow, sleet and ice. Temperatures are in the teens across the I-20 corridor and the snow is falling. The number of COVID-19 patients in the hospital has fallen below one-thousand as the state health department reported a decline of 126 fewer coronavirus patients on Sunday compared to Friday. The total now stands at 875. The number of confirmed deaths is up to 8,663.
