The Alliance for Affordable Energy and the Union of Concerned Scientists have asked the Public Service Commission to deny Entergy’s request to build three gas power plants that will provide power for Meta’s ten-billion-dollar data center in Richland Parish. The groups allege Entergy has not shown the plants are the most effective generation options that serve the publics interest. Entergy says the plants will provide reliable and sustainable energy to support Meta’s operations.
