Super Bowl weekend is finally here in New Orleans and everywhere you go on Bourbon Street, you will see concrete and steel barricades and law enforcement in tactical gear. These Super Bowl visitors are grateful, saying it gives them peace of mind.

Southern University steps onto the worldwide stage prior to the Super Bowl. Andrew Greenstein reports.

Greg Brooks Junior’s lawyers have fired back at LSU Coach Brian Kelly. Kelly said on Wednesday he’s been part of Brooks’ recovery from brain surgery that  left him permanently disabled. But in a statement released by Brooks’ legal team, they stand by the Good Morning America report that Kelly has not reached out since October 2023, which was just after his surgery.
