President Joe Biden is calling on Congress to impose term limits of 18 years on Supreme Court Justices and an enforceable ethics code. Ethic reforms to SCOTUS would require justices to disclose gifts, refrain from political activity, and recuse themselves from cases in which they or their spouse have a financial or conflict of interest. LSU Political Science Professor Robert Hogan referred to Justice Clarence Thomas.

A candlelight vigil will take place tonight at the Lafayette Police Department to remember Senior Corporal Segus Jolivette, who was killed during a standoff with a suspect who has a long criminal history. Visitation and funeral services begin tomorrow at Our Saviors Church in Opelousas.
