The USA Today Network is reporting a Bioeconomy Development Opportunity Zone is coming to Richland Parish. Congresswoman Julia Letlow says it will attract new industry and jobs to produce renewable biofuel to power combustion engines. There’s enough woody biomass in the area to support at least one major refinery and other bio-based projects.
