An ATV crash yesterday near Abita Springs in St. Tammany Parish has left a woman and a girl hospitalized. Authorities say the woman has serious injuries, while the girl’s are life-threatening after their A-TV left the roadway and struck a tree. The crash is under investigation.

Governor John Bel Edwards has awarded Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Sergeant Stephen Rhodes with the Carnegie Medal for saving nine people from a capsized vessel in the Gulf of Mexico. Rhodes says in May of 2022 he was on patrol on Grand Isle when he observed an overturned boat…

Among the nine people Rhodes rescued was a seven-year-old girl trapped under the capsized vessel.
