Term-limited Governor John Bel Edwards says his transition out of office is going as planned. As he prepares to turn over power to Governor elect Jeff Landry. Edwards says his team is prepared to hand over the reins to Landry’s administration on January 8th.

Edwards says when he got into office eight years ago, he was surprised by the size of the state’s budget shortfall, which was over two-billion dollars.
