The Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance host its third annual virtual apprenticeship expo for high school students and post-secondary attendees today from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Employer Engagement Coordinator Tonya Evans says students will receive information about apprenticeship programs by speaking directly with employers.

The childhood home of pop star icon Brittany Spears is for sale. The listing price is one-point-two million dollars for the three bedroom, three bath home in Kentwood that also has a dance studio. Yvonne Hulsey of Keller Williams is the seller of the home and she says so far there’s more interest from the media than actual buyers…

Louisiana Congresswoman Julia Letlow has authored the Drought Assistance Improvement Act. Currently cattle producers have to be at a level of severe drought for eight straight weeks to qualify for one month of disaster relief, Letlow’s bill allows for one monthly payment when a parish has four consecutive weeks of severe drought. Letlow says eight weeks of drought conditions is far too long for farmers to wait for assistance…
