Republican Liz Murrill and Democrat Lindsey Cheek are in a run-off seeking to become the state’s first female Attorney General. Murrill won the primary, receiving 45-percent of the vote. She has spent the last six years as the state’s Solicitor General, defending Louisiana and its laws in federal and state court
