Attorney General Jeff Landry and several district attorney are asking the courts to stop the Pardon Board from holding clemency hearings for death row inmates seeking to have their sentenced lessened to life in prison. Entergy Louisiana is offering one million dollars in bill payment assistance to residential customers to help with high utility costs caused by the historic heat. Vice President of Customer Service Michelle Bourg says customers must have a total household income of up to 250% of the federal poverty level to be eligible.
