Pediatric doses of the Pfizer COVID vaccine are beginning to arrive in Louisiana for children five to eleven. State Health Officer Dr. Joe Kanter says by the end of next week the state should have received 148,000 doses.

The vaccine dose for this age group is a third of the adult dose and consists of two doses given twenty-one days apart.

A massive manhunt is underway in Shreveport after a woman walked into a home overnight and found three people shot to death including a 12-year-old. Authorities believe it’s a domestic incident and the suspect, who they have yet to identify, has a history of criminal violence. He’s considered armed and dangerous.
