Tulane University has received $23 million from the Biden Cancer Moonshot initiative. First Lady Jill Biden says the loss of their son Beau to brain cancer in 2015 inspired the creation of the initiative. Launched in 2016, it has created more than 95 programs, policies, and resources to accelerate cancer research.
According to a recent survey from The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) rising prices are significantly impacting businesses across the country, In addition to increased costs for supplies, labor, and transportation, 33 percent of business owners report having raised their average selling prices to cope with inflation, though Louisiana NFIB Director Leah Long says this has done little to ease the financial strain.
