Five states have now been exempted from the President’s order requiring states to begin footing 25 percent of the bill for their National Guard troops deployed on COVID missions. Governor Edwards sent a letter to Trump asking for Louisiana to be added to the list due to the fact that we have the most per capita cases in the nation. Edwards says that could cost Louisiana up to 10 million dollars by the end of the year.

The reigning national champion Tigers are back on the practice field and adjusting to the new normal of wearing coronavirus spread mitigation gear. LSU Equipment Manager Greg Stringfellow says like the face-coverings we wear, breathing for the players is also restricted with their new masks.

The variables that come with the pandemic and children returning to school can cause anxiety for both parents and kids.  Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at LSU Health New Orleans Dr. Rick Costa says preparation is key in being ready to tackle whatever pops up.
