The Acadian World Congress is this week in Canada. Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser is visiting “The Great White North” to reunite Acacian descendants expelled from the country as early as the 17th century. A large majority of those Acadians ended up settling in Louisiana.

A new pill for mothers suffering from postpartum depression is showing success. According to Chief Medical Officer for United Health Care, Dr. Kevin Stephens, says, in addition to hormonal changes, mothers of newborns face many challenges and often get little sleep while the demands on their bodies are heightened. He says Zurzuvae (Zur-ZOO-vay) can help with a serious problem that’s often not discussed.

A popular jogging spot was roped off in New Orleans yesterday after a body was found in a lagoon at Audubon Park early yesterday morning.  The body was discovered around 8:30 yesterday morning and there’s no indication that foul play was involved.  Authorities say  the death is being investigated as an unclassified death
