Extreme heat and drought conditions this year have wreaked havoc on Louisiana Cattle and hay producers. They’ve taken a combined 360 million dollar hit this year. Herd numbers in Louisiana are at their lowest since the 1960s and cattle producer Mitch Marsalis says hay production was way down. He says disaster payments helped provide more relief…
