It’s a group headlined by arguably the best player in the nation, five star Baton Rouge cornerback Derek Stingley, and five star Destrehan running back John Emery, and five star Texas linebacker Marcel Brooks. Head coach Ed Orgeron says it’s the kind of class LSU fans demand.

It’s NBA trade deadline day and the clock is ticking down on any potential mega deal for superstar Pelicans forward Anthony Davis, who submitted a trade request last week and said he would not resign with New Orleans after his contract expires in 2020. Locked on Pelicans host Jake Madison says the Lakers are still the primary threat to pluck The Brow by the deadline.

Biodegradable Mardi Gras beads are currently in the works following a grant received from the LSU board of supervisors last summer. LSU biologist Dr. Naohiro Kato says the beads are going to be produced using oils from algae, but they won’t be ready for his carnival season.
Kato says initially when factoring in all of the costs, it appears at first the beads could cost initially around $13 a strain, but they are looking to bring the price down as it is estimated that four to five million beads are tossed each carnival season.
