The Saints will practice again this week at T-C-U’s campus and then leave Friday for Boston where they’ll face the New England Patriots on Sunday. The Pats beat the hapless New York Jets 25 to six yesterday.

LSU Quarterback Max Johnson threw for 372 yards and five touchdowns as the Fighting Tigers offense came to life in a 48-21 win over Central Michigan. Louisiana Tech suffered a heart breaking loss to SMU on Saturday as a last seecond heave into the end zone resulted in a Mustangs touchdown and a 39-37 win over the Bulldogs. Tech hosts North Texas this Saturday.

ULM ended a 12-game losing streak with a 12 to seven win over Jackson State. Calum Sutherland hit four field goals. The Warhawks host Troy this Saturday, while Cajuns are at Georgia Southern to open Sun Belt play.
