Fist pitch tonight from Hoover, Alabama is scheduled for 8 PM. Aaron Fitt with D-1 baseball believes LSU needs to win a game or two in order to host an NCAA Regional.

The Sun Belt Tournament gets underway today in Conway, South Carolina. 10th seeded ULM faces seventh seeded South Alabama at 2 PM. Eighth seeded UL-Lafayette takes on ninth seeded Appalachian State. First pitch is 5:30.

Five-star power forward Trendon Watford has signed with the LSU basketball program. He’s six-foot-nine, 230 pounds and Watford helped Mountain Brook High School in Alabama to three straight 7-A state titles, averaging 24 points, 12 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game. He’s expected to replace Naz Reid in the starting line-up. He’s ranked by 24-7 sports as fourth best power forward in the nation.

LSU cornerback Kelvin Jospeh entered the NCAA Transfer portal and then took his name out. His father Kelvin Joseph Senior told media members that his son is not going anywhere. The four star recruit out of Scotlandville played in 11 games last season as a freshman and recorded 12 tackles.

Organized Training Activities begin today at the Saints practice facility in Metairie, so that means the battle for starting center begins today. Veteran Nick Easton and rookie draft pick Erik McCoy will fight out it out to replace the retiring Max Unger. New Orleans also needs to develop more wide receivers to help out Michael Thomas.
