Former LSU standout Alex Bregman put on a good show at last night’s Major League Baseball All-Star game but came up one dinger short of advancing to the semi-finals and lost to Cubs slugger Kyle Schwarber. Schwarber lost to Bryce Harper in the finals as the Nationals right fielder made a furious rally to win in front of his home fans.

Saints defensive lineman Mitchell Loewen played hero over the weekend as he was the first person to respond to a silver SUV that drove off the fourth floor of a parking garage onto a nearby street in New Orleans. Loewen says last year he also helped a woman who drove off the road along a highway in Alabama.
