The Saints went into Chicago yesterday without Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook and completely dominated the Bears, winning 36-25. Latavius Murray filled in very nicely for Kamara and rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns. New Orleans returns home next Sunday to host the suddenly hot Cardinals, who have won three in a row. The Cardinals beat the Giants 27-21 yesterday in New York. In the NFC South, the Falcons lost again, Rams beat Atlanta 37-10.
LSU had a season-low in points with 36 and total yards with 413 but it was another easy victory for the 2nd ranked Fighting Tigers as they defeated Mississippi State 36-13. Quarterback Joe Burrow threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns. He broke the Tigers single-season record for touchdowns thrown as he has 27. Speaking of blow outs, Appalachian State trounced ULM 52-7. Memphis also crushed Tulane 47-17, Louisiana Tech improved to 3-0 in Conference USA with 45-30 win over the Golden Eagles.
