Former LSU football star Kyren Lacy is dead as authorities in Houston say he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound during a police chase on Saturday night. Law enforcement were in pursuit of Lacy after he fired a gun into the ground during a verbal argument with a female relative. When Harris County Sheriff deputies caught up with him, Lacy had crashed his vehicle and he was dead inside. A handgun was found in the vehicle. Lacy was 24-years-old.

ULM won a baseball series over the Ragin Cajuns for the first time since 2012. Louisiana Tech lost to Middle Tennessee four to three yesterday to fall a half game back of Western Kentucky for first place. McNeese is tied with Houston Christian for first place in the Southland after sweeping UIW. The Cowboys have the longest winning streak in the country at 12 games and they are at LSU tomorrow night.

An awful Pelicans season is finally over as New Orleans lost to Oklahoma City yesterday to finish the year 21-61, the second worst season in franchise history.
