As for the Eagles, they’re back in the Super Bowl for the second time in three years. Two years ago they lost to Kansas City in Super Bowl 57 and the Chiefs are trying to become the first team in NFL history to win three consecutive Super Bowls.

In other NFL News…Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady has taken his name out of consideration as head coach of the Saints. Former Saints head coach Dennis Allen will be the new defensive coordinator in Chicago and Klint Kubiak is leaving the Saints to be the offensive coordinator in Seattle.

College baseball teams began full squad workouts over the weekend. The Tigers have a lot of competition at the catcher position. Coach Jay Johnson is high on freshman Cade Arrambide (Air-um-beadie) from Tomball, Texas

The fifth-ranked LSU women’s basketball team rebounded from its loss to second-ranked South Carolina on Friday by beating Texas A-and-M 64 to 51. The Lady Tigers shot just 32 percent from the field but grabbed 30 offensive rebounds. Flau’Jae Johnson had 22 points.

Nice win for Louisiana Tech men’s basketball on Saturday night as the Bulldogs beat Middle Tennessee 75 to 69. Tech is now 4-and-4 in Conference USA action.

McNeese is at Corpus Christi tonight in a matchup of the two best teams in the Southland.
