There’s not been much to cheer about with the Saints lately, but here’s a feel-good story. The Saints have signed former LSU star and Baton Rouge native Clyde Edwards-Helaire to their practice squad. The running back won a national championship with the Tigers and two Super Bowl Rings with the Chiefs. Signing Edwards-Helaire is a sign running back Alvin Kamara’s groin injury could sideline him for at least this Monday’s game at Green Bay.

So far through the transfer portal, the LSU Tigers have signed two potential starters at receiver and a new starting tight end and cornerback. Tiger Rag Executive Editor Todd Horne says LSU still needs more help along the offensive and defensive lines…

LSU has been linked to Virginia Tech offensive lineman Braelin Moore.

The New Orleans Bowl is tonight in the Superdome at 6 PM as Georgia Southern faces Sam Houston. It’s the first bowl game for the Bearcats since moving up from the F-C-S level and the Eagles are in their second New Orleans Bowl.

La Tech is preparing to play in its first bowl game since 2020 as the Bulldogs will take on 19th ranked Army in the Independence Bowl. Marshall could not play in the Indy Bowl, because they didn’t have enough players. Coach Sonny Cumbie says they are missing some players, but certainly have enough to take on the Black Knights….

The Ragin Cajuns were two and nine in non-conference play, but U-L Lafayette won its Sun Belt opener last night beating Appalachian State 68 to 62 in the Cajundome.
