The Saints held their first training camp practice in Louisiana last night after spending the last three weeks in southern California. Before the team’s practice at Tulane’s Yulman Stadium, tight end Juwan Johnson was activated from the physically unable to perform list and was on the practice field. Johnson was sidelined because of a foot injury. Coach Dennis Allen says it was good to see Johnson go through team drills…

Running back Alvin Kamara was a limited participant at last night’s practice as he continues to work his way from back tightness. New Orleans final preseason game is Sunday against the Titans.

The longtime voice of Tiger Stadium, Dan Borne, is taking a leave of absence because of medical issues. Borne is hopeful he will return to his public address announcing duties at Tiger Stadium this season, but for now, the voice of Alex Box Stadium, Bill Franques, will fill in for Borne.

USC football coach Lincoln Riley has named Miller Moss as the Trojans starting quarterback. LSU and USC will meet in Las Vegas on September 1st. Moss is replacing Heisman Winning Trophy quarterback Caleb Williams. Moss performed well in the Holiday Bowl last year as he threw for 372 yards and had six touchdowns in a 42-28 win over Louisville.
