The SEC Tournament gets underway today in Hoover, Alabama and the first game of the day is LSU versus Georgia. The Tigers are on the bubble to make the NCAA Tournament and there are several other teams in the SEC who are also on the bubble, like Alabama, Florida and Vanderbilt. Florida-Vanderbilt play each other at 4:30 PM. D-1 Baseball’s Kendall Rogers has LSU in the NCAA Tournament as it stands now and he says Vanderbilt is on more of shaky ground…

The Ragin Cajuns are ranked 21st in the latest D-1 baseball poll. Kyle DeBarge has been named the Sun Belt Player of the year, L-P Langevin as pitcher of the year, and Matt Deggs as coach of the year.
Hall of Famer Seimone Augustus is returning to her alma mater and will serve as an assistant coach for the LSU women’s basketball team. Augustus coached for one season as an assistant for the Los Angeles Sparks. The Southland Conference Baseball Tournament will get underway tomorrow on the campus of Southeastern Louisiana. Lamar is the top seed. Nicholls is a two seed and will lay Texas A-and-M Corpus Christi at 3 PM. Southeastern Louisiana will host UNO and the first game of the day is Northwestern at McNeese.
