The Saints ended a three-game losing streak Sunday with a 28-6 win. Quarterback Derek Carr threw two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, but the first three quarters were tough to watch as the offense could barely move the ball against a bad Carolina Panthers team. The win improves the Saints record to six and seven and there’s now a three way tie for first place in the NFC South after Tampa Bay went on the road and defeated Atlanta 29-25.

After a slow start, the seventh ranked LSU women’s basketball team defeated U-L 83-53 as Aneesah Morrow had 27 points and 10 boards.

LSU’s Jayden Daniels won the Heisman Trophy on Saturday night receiving 501 of the 870 first-place votes. Daniels had a season for the ages in 2023 as he nearly accumulated 5,000 total yards of offense. Daniels also led the nation in passing touchdowns with 40 and total touchdowns with 50. He orchestrated one of the greatest offenses in LSU’s history….

The LSU football team will begin bowl practice today as they get ready to play Wisconsin in the ReliaQuest Bowl. Daniels has not said if he’ll play in the game.

The Prep Classic ended on Saturday night with Ruston winning its first state championship since 1990 as the Bearcats beat Zachary 31-17 for a ninth title in program history.
