The Pelicans were outrebounded 43-28 and only had three offensive rebounds. New Orleans is back home Wednesday to host the Miami Heat.

Tulane will host the number one team in the country tonight at Fogleman Arena, the Houston Cougars. Houston is 17-and-1, 5-and-0 in the American Conference, while the Green Wave are 12-and-5, 5-and-1 in league play.

LSU women’s basketball is up to number three in the AP Poll and they’ll host Arkansas on Thursday.

The Houston Texans say they interviewed former Saints Coach Sean Payton last night. Payton is also expected to talk with the Broncos and Panthers. Since Payton is still under contract with New Orleans, it’s expected that the team that hires him will have to give up a mid to late first round pick.

Towards the end of last night’s game, Baton Rouge native, former LSU Tiger and Buccaneers wide receiver Russell Gage was carted off the field after taking a hit to the head. The Bucs say Gage has a concussion and a possible neck injury.
