Saints Quarterback Jameis Winston had a poor performance against his former team and Tom Brady finally got a win in the regular season against New Orleans after four straight losses. Winston was sacked six times and he was intercepted three times, one of picks was returned for a touchdown.
Prior to the game, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reported that Winston has four fractures in his back, but there’s no risk of further damage. Saints Coach Dennis Allen says he didn’t think the back injury hampered Winston’s play…

A big second half by the offense on Saturday night helped propel LSU to a 31-16 win over Mississippi State. The Tigers went up tempo towards the end of the second quarter and scored a touchdown right before halftime and they kept up that fast pace in the second half as they began to wear down the Bulldogs defense. In other college football action…the Ragin Cajuns 15-game winning streak ended on Saturday in Houston with a 33-21 loss to Rice. Tulane upset Kansas State 17-10 and as expected La Tech and ULM lost to Clemson and Alabama.
