Ohio State was the better team last night ending the season for the LSU Lady Tigers as Buckeyes won 79-64 to advance to the Sweet 16. Khayla Pointer had 32 points for the Lady Tigers in her final home game. But as a team, LSU shot 37-percent from the field, while Ohio State shot 48-percent and made ten three-pointers. LSU’s season ends with a record of 26-6.

Watching the game inside the PMAC was LSU’s new men’s basketball coach. Pete McMahon has been hired to replace Will Wade after a successful seven-year run at Murray State. John Wright covered McMahon for the Murray Ledger in Kentucky and he expects Tiger nation will embrace him quickly….

Jameis Winston is staying with the Saints. The quarterback has signed a two-year 28-million dollar contract with the Black and Gold. WWL-TV Saints reporter Ralph Malbrough says it’s a good deal for New Orleans..
