Saints Coach Sean Payton served as a guest analyst on ESPN’s NFL Countdown and said he expects quarterback Drew Brees to be on the field for the Black and Gold in 2020. It’s been reported that one network has reached out to Brees about becoming a TV game analyst.

McNeese State needs a new head football coach. Sterlin Gilbert has resigned to reportedly take the job as offensive coordinator at Syracuse. Gilbert spent just one season as the head coach at McNeese and the Cowboys went 7-and-5.

Not sure how many people from Louisiana will be watching, but the Pelicans are in Detroit tonight to face the Pistons. New Orleans is trying to finish a three-game road trip with a 2-and-1 record.

Grambling is 3-and-0 in the SWAC and visit Alcorn State tonight. LSU is 3-and-0 in the SEC and will visit Texas A-and-M tomorrow. Louisiana Tech is 3-and-1 in league play and will host Rice on Thursday. Nicholls is 5-and-1 in the Southland and host Northwestern State on Wednesday.
