Today is the last day college football players can get in the transfer portal. Players that are in the portal can still sign with another school after today.

LSU’s latest transfer portal commitment comes from tight end Zach Grace, who did not catch a pass in 24 games with the Oregon Ducks.

Of course, the big signee this week was former Arizona State star Sam Leavitt, who is expected to be the Tigers’ starting quarterback in 2026. Leavitt’s high school coach at West Linn High School in Oregon, Jon Eagle, was a guest on Tiger Rag Radio and talked about Leavitt’s work ethic…

Four Louisiana schools are involved in a point-shaving scandal. Federal prosecutors say UNO, Tulane, Nicholls, and Northwestern State had college basketball players who underperformed so they could receive cash from gamblers.

 

The LSU men’s basketball team is 0-4, and barring a dramatic turnaround, the Tigers will likely fail to make the NCAA Tournament again. Coach Matt McMahon is in his fourth season and his record in SEC play is 14-44. Athletics director Verge Ausberry was on WWL Radio in New Orleans and said a decision on McMahon’s future will be made after the season…
