Lucas Carneiro kicked a 47-yard field goal with six seconds left to give Ole Miss the lead, with the final margin coming on the ensuing kickoff when a botched lateral by Georgia hit their own end zone pylon for a safety.
Kentucky hits a three-pointer with one second left, and the fifth-ranked LSU women’s basketball team lost to the Wildcats 80 to 78 to begin SEC play last night. Kentucky outrebounded LSU 45-29 and had 18 second-chance points to LSU’s 4. Coach Kim Mulkey says her team was not tough enough.

LSU star linebacker Whit Weeks has announced he will return for his senior season. Safety Dashawn Spears is also coming back.
Saints linebacker Demario Davis plans to play a 15th season in the NFL at the age of 37. Davis says he’s accelerating toward the finish line this year. Receiver Chris Olave will not play in Sunday’s season finale at Atlanta, because of a blood clot in his lung. He is expected to make a full recovery.
