LSP are asking for the public’s help as they are currently looking for a truck in the Slidell/Pearl River area following a fatal hit and run.  Senior Trooper Dustin Dwight says be on the lookout for possible damage to the front end and the passenger side of the vehicle.

Essence Fest has kicked off today in New Orleans.  Most of the festival takes place in Morial Convention Center by day, where speakers and workshops for personal development will be offered, and by night for concerts at the Super Dome. New Orleans Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Spokesperson Kristian Sonnier says if you become famished from all that fun, great food options are nearby.
