During a secretary of state candidate forum in Baton Rouge, interim Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin was on the defensive as other candidates for the job claimed he mishandled the contract bidding process for the purchase of 10-thousand new voting machines. Two of the bidders say the process was rigged, but Ardoin says that’s not true…

A new study shows the divorce rate dropped by 18 percent between 2008 and 2016. Researchers say this is likely because millennials are waiting to get married later. Director of Tulane University’s Social Work Program, Parker Sternbergh says the delay in marriage is likely due to growing up in a society where divorce was so prevalent.

Last night was a big night for Drew Brees and the Saints as Brees surpassed Peyton Manning’s record for most passing yards in NFL history with a 62-yard touchdown scoring strike to rookie Tre’Quan Smith. It was one of three touchdown passes for the 39-year-old Brees. New Orleans went on to win 43-19 and improved to 4-1.
