Sentencing has been delayed for the former LSU student who was convicted in the hazing death of Phi Delta Theta fraternity pledge Maxwell Gruver. Matthew Naquin is facing up to five years in prison after he was convicted of negligent homicide. A serious illness involving one of Naquin’s relatives pushed the sentencing date back to November 20th.
Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards and his Republican challenger Eddie Rispone have both released commercials as their run-off campaigns ramp up. Political consultant Roy Fletcher estimates 20-million dollars could be spent over the next month and the money will pour in from both national parties and governor associations, along with additional funding from partisan actors like George Soros and Charles Koch….
