Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards and Republican challenger Eddie Rispone will face off in a November 16th run-off. Edwards received 47-percent of the vote in the gubernatorial primary and plans to campaign on his accomplishments during his first term

Republican Ralph Abraham finished third in the primary and during his concession speech, he endorsed Rispone for governor, even though the Congressman was on the receiving end of political attacks from Rispone.

The search continues this morning for a missing worker inside the collapsed Hard Rock Hotel in New Orleans that was under construction. An unstable structure is making the rescue effort difficult. So far two people have died when half of the the 18-story building came tumbling down Saturday morning.
