AAA forecasts the number of travelers for the Thanksgiving holiday to be the highest since 2005. Whether on the roadway, in the airports, or on cruise ships. AAA spokesperson Don Redman says its a sign of confidence in the economy.

Redman says 54-million travelers are expected to be in transit, a five percent increase over last year.

The search continues for 49-year-old Michael Vallery of Baton Rouge who allegedly stabbed his wife to death. East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s office spokesperson Casey Raborn Hicks says during the heated encounter the suspect also stabbed two female relatives of the victim, 51-year-old Stefanie Vallery…

Bossier City Police say they found two people shot to death inside an apartment complex on East Texas Street. Details are limited at this hour.

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s office says they’ve arrested two in the October 13th shooting death of local boxer 28-year-old Brandon Broussard. 41-year-old Shavis Toby of Vermilion Parish was booked with second-degree murder and authorities nabbed the second suspect out of state.

The cook in your family will likely begin preparing today that turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. LSU AgCenter food safety expert Wenqing Xu (When-Ching Shuh) says do not wash the turkey before you bake it. She says it will not remove any bacteria that should be killed in the oven and it could lead to cross contamination….
