The state health department reported 53 more COVID-19 deaths yesterday bringing the total for confirmed COVID deaths to 8,421. On a positive note, the number of COVID patients in the hospital has declined below 14-hundred to 1,386.

The state has launched the Louisiana Civil Rights Trail. Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser says the trail consists of 15 site markers, commemorating the Civil Rights movement in Louisiana.
