The latest national survey of small business owners conducted by the NFIB finds that uncertainty on Main Street has reached an all-time high. NFIB State Director Leah Long says this survey reflects growing hesitation among small business owners to invest due to inflation and high financing costs.

For the second time in less than a month there was an extensive search to find a 10-year-old Webster Parish girl who wandered away from her home in Dubberly. She was located in a wooded area near her home yesterday. Pat Culverhouse with the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office says it’s unclear what will happen now that this has happened twice.

Multiple media reports say an MRI shows that Saints quarterback Derek Carr has an oblique injury and will miss several weeks. Carr sustained the injury in the fourth quarter in Monday night’s loss to Kansas City. The Saints will either start 2023 fourth-round pick Jake Haener or 2024 fifth round pick Spencer Rattler at quarterback this Sunday against the Buccaneers.
