Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins will serve on the bipartisan House Task Force charged with investigating the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. The Task Force will have subpoena power and Higgins says he looks forward to uncovering the truth.

The Louisiana Department of Education has named Elise Boutin (boo-tan) Teacher of the Year. Boutin teaches 12th-grade English at Rayne High School in Acadia Parish.
